Starting up housing

Hello from eta alpha chapter in Columbia, Missouri.

We're a very small chapter (occupancy is 39) and we've never had housing...I'm looking to start it up this year, and I was wondering if anyone had gone through a similar experience. I have the housing manual but it's still a big undertaking...

If you haven't there are still a few questions you could answer.

1. How did you find your house mom?
2. What is your rent?
3. Do you have chores/housing responsibilities?
4. How large is your house?
5. Does your chapter or school own your house, or do you rent it? Is it on campus?
6. Any extra tips or experiences to share?

Thanks a lot!
SLAM,
Sara

Welcome to Greekchat!

I can answer some of your questions, but your best bet is to talk with your AAB and contact the person at Headquarters that handles housing related questions.

My collegiate chapter rents its house. It houses 18 women or so. As far as the costs, I'm an alumna so I'm not totally sure what it is now. We have had a chore list that was regularly checked by the house manager.
