What didn't you like about Sig Ep? Was it the national (policies, programs, etc.?) or was it because you didn't like the guys? (My guess is the latter?)
It's hard to define your group as something you are not. It's more attractive to define yourself as something you are. Is there something in common with all of you ? Could you start a (non-fraternity) club, as an intro? For example, you all may like cave exploring, you could start a club for cavers. Within the cavers, you could recruit brothers. Is there any reason to stay local? A smaller national would welcome a new chapter, and would probably let you "be yourselves", assuming it's legal. A bigger house (100+ chapters) will want to put its "stamp" on you, which you might not like. Meanwhile, come up with some reasons to attract others, and create events around those themes. |
For another national to work with you, you would have to have a group that did not "substantially" consist of members of a former chapter of another national fraternity. I f you were, say 10 guys and 2 were exsigep, that would prob. be ok. What school are you at?
