Fall Rush 07!
 

I figured everyone will be starting rush soon and we can talk about it here!

In Delta Omega this year we will be having 5 days of Rush instead of 3. And! We are going to do a musicale and a preference night during these extra days!

What is everyone else doing?

Preference night??? Excuse me-I know what pref is, but how are you all going to do it.

What is that?? Explain, explain!

We are just going to talk about why we love SAI and make sure the girls who come are really interested in SAI, sometimes the girls who rush just do it to get free stuff. We are going to have like a corny/sappy slide show and dress nice and talk about what we love and what SAI means to us.

Are you guys going to sing at all? There are some realllyyyy pretty sisterhood songs!

Sometimes, I feel like, we as an org, should sing more than just the chorale. It's a beautiful piece, but we have so many sisters that have written beautiful songs for us as well.

Kappa Gamma rush is next week!

Singing would be awesome, but I highly doubt we have time to learn a song well enough to do it on Thursday. We as a chapter are making an effort to learn more songs. That is such a beautiful idea! I will have to incorporate that into next semester!

Tonight is our last night of Rush! It's movie and chocolate night! I am so pumped!

Kappa Gamma's rush started last night with social rush including all 3 fraternities. Individual parties start tomorrow night!! YaY!:D

WE HAD A LEGACY COME OUT TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

We gave out 7 bids on Monday!!!

It's not super huge like it is with NPCs, but we do regard the fact that a girl is a legacy. And, on my campus anyway, our only competition is with MPhiE and they are pretty small compared to us--I have never met a MPhiE legacy.

A girl in my pledge class was an in house legacy from one of our chapter's first presidents! I just hope that my daughter is a musician and also pledges SAI!

Sidenote: Aren't you allowed to participate in rush on some level as a patroness?

"She may attend initiations, musicales, all special programs, and chapter meetings at the invitation of the chapter. She may be elected as an advisor to the collegiate chapter.
Patroness services to the chapter should not be considered obligatory, but here are some suggested ways
that patronesses could be asked to help a chapter: entertaining, hosting a musicale or other social event,
assisting with a special project. Be sure all courtesies and services are acknowledged promptly."

We gave out 12 bids this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Formal rush is Sunday and then bids are due back by Wednesday!!!
