Good dancers, does it matter?

When you're looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend...or someone just to hook up with, does it matter if they are a good dancer or not? Of course, it's nice to be with a good dancer, but does it matter a LOT? You see a hottie at a bar or party or whatever, and you notice the person cannot dance at all, would that be a deal-breaker to you?

I can't dance worth crap. Seriously, I look like a tree caught in a hurricane. It's bad, real bad. But, I do it cuz it's fun.

No, I wouldn't exclude someone from having fun and if dancing is how they have fun power to them. We can be two trees in a hurricane. :p

I personaly LOVE dancing, I took dance lessons all throughout my childhood, and in college, someone who has some rhythm would be a plus in as far as we'd have something in common, but as long as there are willing to get out there and try, I'm cool with it.

My feelings in paraphrase. ;)

I can't dance either, but my husband is a great dancer. He even took partner-country dancing (or whatever it is called) when he was in college. He claimed it was a great way to meet women and the woman he was partnered with even convinced him to take the next two levels of classes with her.

So whenever we are at a wedding reception or somewhere with dancing, he definitely "leads".

My husband tries too hard when he's dancing. He isn't bad at it, but you can just see that he's trying really hard not to look like an asshole.

I danced throughout my childhood, through high school and I love to do it, in the bar, club whatever. Guys that can't dance aren't necessarily a dealbreaker, but it is nice when they can. I find that dancing is a way of letting go and showing that they can be carefree and have fun, and when guys don't even try, that's kind of a turnoff.... but I wouldn't NOT date someone b/c they aren't good at it.

I can dance pretty well...I'd like for my mate to too, BUT...I have a soft-spot for guys who can't dance, know they can't dance, but still try for my sake. I think it's adorable. :o:p

I wouldn't say its a deal breaker but its definitely a plus. I'm an active kind of gal so I like to go out and dance from time to time. Just sitting in a bar is not my idea of a good time. I would love a guy who couldn't dance but gave it a shot for me.
