Funny story...my mom calls me up and said she had tickets for me to visit them in NC when I was in college. She said my flight left at FIVE IN THE MORNING on Jan. 3rd. I said, "Mom, what's Jan 2nd?". "I dunno" "Umm...MY 21ST BIRTHDAY!!!" "Oh, yeah...sorry". Plane + hungover + 5am does not make for a good flight. I asked for a vodka on the plane (who cares that it was 5am, I hadn't gone to bed, it still counted as part of the celebration...besides, when the flight attendant carded me, he understood, and gave it to me on the house!).

I had a great birthday and even though I'm not quite finished celebrating (since my birthday was a weekday...you know I have to go out on the weekend too) it was definitely memorable! Thanks for all the wishes, especially the cat macro love!! :)

PS - My brand new niece shares my birthday week...she was born this morning (August 9)! :)
