Any hippies?

Okay, so I know it's probably unusual, but I am proud to say that I am a sorority girl AND a hippie. That's right! Picture me with letters... bellbottoms, barefoot, big ole thick hemp necklace, hair to my waist dancing at a Phish or Dead concert! So my question is where are all the hippie Greeks? I know I can't be the only one. I just thought of this while reading the favorite song thread... there were no "My Sweet One"'s by Phish, or "Touch of Grey"'s or "Hell in a Bucket"'s. So come on! I know you're out there. Hippies reunite!

Well sweety, No one seems to want to answer. I am a rebel but not a hippy as my hair looked like S--t hen long. Of course in looking at some of the compsoites I thought what is wrong with all of these guys. Today, ost of them have shorter hair or much less hair! Aloa poor Yourich damn do you look bad. Although I do not wear bellbottoms, I am a true hippy at heart. I do believe in love peace and harmony. As you can tell from my email address (Hairphinatic). Love that movie!

I like the songs and stuff. I want the um, whats it called. Singers and songwriters. There was a hippy girl at my high school that wore DZ leters.

I have hair past my shoulders, I wear tye-dye, I have everything from hemp hats to hemp shoes, I listen to the Grateful Dead daily, I followed Phish for about three shows, and I refuse to wear socks. Yep, I'm a hippie. I am also in a band that does many Dead/phish covers. We all play barefooted on oriental style rugs that we take everywhere we go.

Awwwww, you guys warm my heart! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I dare to say I'm the only "greek hippie" on my campus, maybe a couple others. So, what's this about a cover band LXA? And, yes, sometimes I'm just a hippie on the inside, one day you'll see me wear patchwork cords and a dead shirt, and that night at the bars you might just spot me in black bootcut pants and a tank top... (yes, I admit it), but I'm truly hippie. Just went to see Ani difranco last night!

Well, I dunno about being a hippie, but one of my Alpha Chapter Sisters is a huge Phish fan, as evidenced by her web page. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

We aren't really a cover band. The only songs we cover are Dead and Phish. Mostly we play our own music and jam for hours at a time.
