"Paddle" in a different shape?
 

I did a search on this but could not really find what I was looking for.

I want to have a wood item made for my office that has my organization's crest, letters, names of my class members, etc. but so far all I can find are paddles for this purpose. Does anyone know where I can find a wood item that can be laser-engraved with the above mentioned details that is NOT in the shape of a paddle?

Try your local Michaels or other craft store- they have tons of unfinished wood items.

Michael's is good, and I used them before to make frames, etc. for sisters. However, what I want to do is to order a wood item that has all of the information you typically see on a paddle engraved on it, just not in the shape of a paddle.

Maybe this is stretching, but did you try Things Remembered?

I'm pretty sure paddletramps.com has wooden plaques that you can get in the shape of your organization's symbol/mascot. you could then bring that plaque and have it engraved somewhere and then throw a couple coats of lacquer (?) to make it shiny.

Although I don't know for sure, I think www.thegreekshop.com CAN do everything you want in-house.

I'd kill my lil bro if he got me a non-paddle paddle but some of our bros have some pretty sick shaped ones....one guy has a California shaped paddle

This might be a stretch, but how about going to a plaque store? They usually have different shaped plaques and they can engrave pretty much anything.

You can send them a picture of your crest etc, and they can laser engrave it.
