Ha an Actual Delta Nu sorority exists

I never would have thought it but a Delta Nu sorority has existed since 1976 at my brothers campus at Dickinson College (non national chapter sorority)... man I feel bad for them after the legally blond movies

that's crazy! haha I wonder if that's how the people from the movie cam up with it.

A lady I worked with in Target was a Delta Nu alumnae (in NY or the North East). I don't know if it's the same school, but she was in her late 20s early 30s. Her brother in law was a TKE:D

Probably not. In the book, the sorority was Delta Gamma. I imagine that for the movie, they just changed the second letter to something they thought sounded good.

Yep that is Delta Nu of Dickinson College alright. Don't feel bad for them, they are not at all like Legally Blonde's characters-at least they weren't when I was there. Lots of fun and extremely proud of their chapter. Although, sometimes I think there's a little "Elle" in all of us... Delta Nu actually used to be the Delta chapter of Chi Omega. Their website explains the change.

Gee whiz, a Delta Nu fraternity existed in the 1940's as well.

Probably nopt her real name.

Most authors use pen names.

I wouldn't say MOST. SOME Authors use pen names. As for the screenwriters, one is an AGD. Not sure if the other one is even Greek.

I'm going to guess probably not and she probably wouldn't really care. I don't mean that to be snarky, but not everyone is as obsessed with the greek world as GCers are. It's like the thread about Paula Deen's daughter in law being greek... aren't we stretching it a bit there?

Again, this is more a general rant than directed towards any particular poster or anything.
