Alpha Xi Delta & Sigma Nu
Our organizations have a long-standing camaraderie, from the founding of your Alpha chapter at Lombard College in 1893, to the initial expansion (in 1902) to Mount Union College in Ohio, to the 109 campuses nationwide that the Alpha Xi Deltas currently share with the Sigma Nus.
Some interesting reading about the history of A Xi D and SN can be found on page 9 & 10 of Sigma Nu's digital copy of "The Delta", our national magazine. You can find that here: http://www.thedeltaofsigmanu.com/0607/default.asp How close is your chapter with the Sigma Nu chapter on campus? |
I like how Sigma Nu has The Delta set up to read online. It's very fun and much less annoying than Adobe.

ODU's Sigma Nus and Alpha Xi Deltas do philanthropy events, hang out, and have socials together. Half of our brothers' dates to our annual White Rose Formal were A Xi D sisters! All of our recent Sigma Nu Sweethearts (3 years in a row) have been A Xi D sisters as well. I was just curious to see if our organizations were like that on other campuses. Quote:
Anyways, good luck with Fall Formal Recruitment on your respective campuses! |

I'm at the University of Southern Maine and our chapters of Alpha Xi Delta and Sigma Nu are fairly close. We used to be a lot closer when I first joined, but as I've gotten older, it seems that it's not so close. Some of my sisters are a little too obsessed with the connection between the two organizations and take it a little too far. But we are closer than most of the other GLO's on campus. We usually partner up in a couple philanthropies during the school year and have several socials. We also get together for homecoming and stuff.

We just had a social including our Sigma Nu chapter at the EWU campus. It was fun!!!
