It's awful. They actually are tiny chipmunks and the trailer has Alvin eating Theodore's droppings. We saw it before the Simpsons and the audience was like "eww". I LOVE Alvin and the Chipmunks, but in their ORIGINAL form, not some CGI re-creation! And the guy who plays Dave does not look, act, nor sound like Dave!!!!!!

WTF?? Why can't we just leave animated things animated, and live action things live action? Or better yet, why can't we just leave things alone and not re-do every past tv show, movie, novel and comic book?

The actor playing David Seville does nothing for me.

I agree that this should have remained animated. Just because you can do it this way doesn't mean that it should be done this way.

I'll add Garfield and Under Dog to this list (but NOT the Transformers!).

Don't be hatin' on Jason Lee!!! I think he's great. Whether he's playing a demon, Earl, or Dave. :D

I saw this on DListed.com and I didn't think it was for real at first.

I was curious to see how they were going to portray the slutty Chipettes but according to DListed...they won't be in the movie?

The Chipmunks Christmas is still my favorite Holiday soundtrack, though.

I told my brother about this movie the other day and first thing he said was that the girls better be in the movie too.:o:p Can't wait to tell him they didn't make the cut.
