Ok, who do you think is the coolest cat to ever grace the halls of your fraternity or sorority? For me, I would have to say Col. Sanders (KFC) and Jeremy Pivens (entourage).

kathykd2005 07-28-2007 02:16 AM

Georgia O'Keefe, definitely. :)

She was a painter, right?

kathykd2005 07-28-2007 02:25 AM

Yes. :) Google her, she did a lot of flowers. (Let's not even get into the sexual implications of that, though.)

Kristen Chenoweth - Tony-award winning actress -"Wicked" is probably her most famous musical.
Laurel Clark - Challenger shuttle astronaut
Cloris Leachman - she's so good at comedy or drama.

the wife of the MGM founder was a Phi Mu...that's why MGM's mascot is a lion....rando...

Benny Boom, the music video director, is an Alpha.

I think he is the best example of the "coolest cat" to be an Alpha. :D

Lisa Frank, for sure. It's funny to imagin that as an elementary school student all my school supplies were covered in those horses puppies and unicorns and now I know just why there were so many unicorns on her designs.

I love Julia Louis-Dreyfus! I used to think Seinfeld was just something to watch when nothing else was on (I think it was because I was too young when there were still new episodes coming out and I never *got* the humor) but now I absolutely love it, and I know that's at least partially due to the fact that my DG sister is so friggin' funny! The same can be said for Everybody Loves Raymond and Patricia Heaton, who plays Debra (Ray's wife).

I'll go with somebody who is not famous, but makes me really proud to be a Gamma Phi Beta: Betty Quick, the current NPC President. I've met her on several occasions and she is just the most delightful, poised, intelligent and thoughtful person and has a sense of humor too. I can't think of anyone better to represent all NPC women!

Old School: Harrison Ford.
New School: Paul Rudd.
Ultimate Pimp: James Dean.

OMG! I totally agree with you on this one. She's amazing.

Didn't James Dean NOT get initiated, or blackballed or drop out during pledgeship? Not sure why, but it just stands out to me.

Anyway, for me, it's Sam Walton. You all know him...

Covering both viewpoints, I'll say Judy Woodruff (Omicron chapter) and Nancy Grace (Delta Theta chapter) are possibly the most well known, although Jean Smart (Alpha Theta chapter) is probably my favorite!
