America's Got Talent- Season 2
 

Anyone else been following the new season of this show? There have been some pretty awesome magic acts and even better variety acts. Not to mention the talent some of those singers have!

There's one particular singer that is incredible! I saw him with his band in Dallas a few months ago and was completely floored when I saw him on TV! Cas Haley is an incredible singer with major talent, check him out on you tube or his band on myspace- woodbelly. If you need a reason to watch the show: he is it.

Also, the Glamazons... um.. can't sing to save their lives.

Who are you listening to? Have you ever tried to sing what they do?

The girl who started the song last night was off-key almost the entire time. The blonde girl and the redhead are pretty good. Are all four good enough to warrant a record contract? Heck no. I mean good for them that they are out there doing their thing on national tv, but in my opinion their talent isn't worth a million bucks.

As for your other point, what is the difference if I have or haven't? I am entitled to an opinion. If you really would like to know, I have sang " Lady Marmalade" before and did a better job. I also have numerous years of stage experience gained from plays, bands, and solo work. But that doesn't matter and I really don't like tooting my own horn (had to keep the music theme goin!) so I won't list anything else.


Who is your favorite act so far, AlphaFrog? If it's The Glamazons, sorry that I pushed your button enough to get defensive about them.

the glamazons are my favorite so far. i only catch the show every now and again and they are entertaining. everyone else i remember is because they're so horrible. like the girl who was singing "and i am telling you" with the dummy? what was that about. and the little girl who was cheerleading but her mother somehow ended up on stage defending her? weird!

OH! and how could i forget the black guy who was twirling batons? he was good, but i'm still giggling from that.

i guess i like to watch but at the end of the show i'm like, (1) i'm entertained but would i want to see that act again and (2) would i pay money to see them? the glamazons are the only ones that i can say yes on both accounts.

They're not my favorite - I actually like Sideswipe (the martial arts guys)...but I do think they have talent. Worth a millon bucks? No. But would I like to see them do their own thing instead of Karaoke, and possibly get a record deal? Yeah...I think it'd be a refreshing change from Britney Spears and Paris Hilton and whatever other waif is popular next week.

There are a lot of very good acts! Some of my favorites are the heavier set singer guy with the guitar, Butterscotch - the beat-boxing piano player, Sideswipe, and Second Story Guys.

That heavier guy is Cas Haley! The guy I mentioned in my op!

Oh and AlphaFrog... I couldn't agree with you more about the waif thing. I loved it when Kelly Clarkson looked like a normal female.

Maybe I am truly an old fogey, but I DO NOT get the Bollywood dancer guy. What is so special about that?
I do think Cas is awesome and deserves to go far.
