Political Philosophy
What is your political philosophy?
I'm a leftist socialist. I guess I would have been better of living in the Scandanivian countries. VOTE GREEN |
I'm on the left as well, but middle left...I just have to deal for the next 4 years ! *sigh*
|
liberal californian here. left, but kinda towards the middle. i also will have to deal for the next 4 years. grrrr.
|
I lean slightly right of centre which means I vote PC federally and Liberal provincially - god I can't wait for the election.

I'm liberal. I almost joined the Green Party, but didn't like their states' rights policies. I believe in a strong, national government, like a good little democrat. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif
------------------ I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on. |
I'm with Amy, Democrat, but towards the middle.

I'm not gonna deal with nothing!! I'm calling that moron out for everything. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I am liberal democrat

I'm kind of a hard nosed pragmatist, with a an ounce of social compassion motivated by a keen sense of self preservation:
If it isn't broken don't fix it, but constantly improve the method to improve the bottom line. Don't let people in the world be hungry: hungry people engage in violence, or get sick and spread their disease globally. We could get sick . . . Make sure people are able to pursue their dreams of success on a level playing field: Frustrated people result to ilegal or violent acts to achieve what they believe is their due. We could get hurt . . . Make sure the government is not in the business of putting its own people to death: Do we truly want to trust other mortals we know to be weak and venal to investigate, prosecute and pass the extreme judgement on people? We could be the people dying next from circumstantial evidence or some change in the laws later. Oh well, I could go on and on. |

Cheers to my liberal sisters and brothers! I call myself liberal and that's what i usually identify with, but I am fiscally conservative. When it comes down to it, though, I'll choose the democrats because I'd rather have freedom than money!
|
Once again, it seems I'll have a dissenting opinion http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif
I'm a registered Republican, with centrist tendencies. My main problem with the liberal philosophy is abortion. That is where I lean towards the right. I don't think that its Bush's fault that the economy is taking a nosedive right now. Its the fault of many many many dot-com businesses failing when investors got nervous that the businesses weren't turning a profit. A "revolutionary" business plan and a lot of venture capital don't make for a successful business. No profit means no dividends, means nervous investors, which means the stock price drops. I also don't think Clinton was responsible for all the good times in the past. Alan Greenspan (I love that guy) is a genius and he is responsible for a lot of good times - after all, the President doesn't control interest rates! |
I have to agree with juniorgrrl. I don't think it is totally Bush's fault for the nosedive the economy has taken. And I also don't think that Clinton is solely responsible for the economy being good during his administration. I did vote for Bush during the election but at times he does scare me with some of his actions and words.
