He-Man Returns to Big Screen

http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...goryid=13&cs=1

Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver are working with Mattel to turn "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" into a live-action film.

Justin Marks is set to write the script. Silver will produce.

Deal, which is contingent on Mattel formally approving an outline for the project, is another example of Hollywood overhauling a 1980s-era pop-culture touchstone in the hopes of seeding a tentpole pic. The sale comes just a few weeks before the July preem of DreamWorks' Michael Bay-directed "Transformers," which began as an '80s animated series and toy line.

I'm sorry but the Dolph Lundgren version was good enough for me. You just can't beat Meg Foster as Evil-Lynn!

As long as He-Man and She-Ra totally hook up in this one. (yeah yeah I know they're brother and sister but that didn't really register as a child and they were like totally perfect for each other)

/totally

My co-worker just said she hated that one, lol. I can't remember it.

LOOOL

I was seriously just thinking that I'm only watching it if She-Ra makes an apperance.

Although, apparently I didn't watch it as much as I played with the action figures as a kid - I didn't know they were brother & sister.

I watched She-Ra more, but she was like his secret twin sister also given the power of Grayskull blah blah blah :p

But they should still totally hook up.

would he ruin it like Jar Jar Binks ruined star wars?

sad to think some backwater mudskipper single handedly brought down the entire galaxy...but I digress

one more thought.....if they gonna do He Man...when are we gonna see CONAN????

Edited: because I'm pretty sure you actually knew this but whatever :-p

Teela wasn't She-ra though. She-Ra was Princess Adora or something like that.

I think she started out as Princess Adora and then when the secrets of Greyskull were revealed to her (or whatever), then she embraced her destiny as She-Ra....LOL

LoL.. yea I'm only watching it to see if She-Ra makes an appearance too!

**gasp** how could you not know they were brother and sister? If I remember correctly, they made occasional appearances in each other's cartoon shows every once in awhile.

I always wanted She-Ra to hook up with that guy Bow (Beau?)... I can't remember but he had a bow & arrow and he had a weird heart thing in the middle of his chest armor... haha

Well yes, but it was her secret identity! She couldn't be She-Ra all the time, otherwise you couldn't sell two action figures!

so excited! now if we get she-ra, that means shadow weaver will have to make an appearance too!
