What do you do for your PNM VIPs?
I brought this up in another thread, but that one has a more specific and serious focus, so I thought I'd ask it here:
If you especially wanted a particular PNM to have great recruitment experience at your group, how did you ensure it happened? As always, I'd love to read any funny anecdotes about how it went wrong or how you ended up with three Jennifer Smiths instead of just the one you wanted. |
From the PNM side of this question, how would you know if you were considered a VIP?
This is something I have always wondered about and I am sure it varies from campus to campus/ chapter to chapter. |
If I knew...I wouldn't post it. :p

Looking at this question this morning, I see it's probably a little more troublesome that I originally thought.
I don't think a PNM would know, especially at a strong chapter. You'd assume that most people going through were treated the same way that you were. It would be lame if other PNM knew that Suzy was being treated differently. Suzy just knows that the group loves her. I think that close friends of current members or, of course, in house legacies get a special level of care as far as be on the look out for Suzy. A really socially prominent person's person child might get a special attention. (I can remember rushing with the daughter of a US politician from Georgia, I think.) It's not that anyone specifically wants the daughters of big wigs, but the status of the parent is indicative of the social position of the family generally in the town where the family lives, I guess. Last night when I created the separate thread, I wasn't really thinking about it, but this morning I can see how it A)it might be hard to talk about without getting dangerously close to MS and B) although I was thinking about alums mainly talking about what they used to do, but if the groups are still doing it, it's going to seem a little less special if it's up on GreekChat. I apologize. If you can think of anything you can and want to say, I'd love to read it, especially if it's funny. But upon more careful consideration, I didn't want anyone to be tempted to say something she shouldn't. |
