Cutiepie2000 called to tell me it was on and to check it out but I was out of the house. But loving girl that she is, she shoved a tape in the VCR to record it for me. I can't wait to see it!!! I have no doubt that I'm going to kill myself laughing.

There has been a Caribou stampede on Vancouver what should we use to stop them? Timbits? Apparently that would be cruel.

hahaha very funny. Americans, (us good southerners anyway) really dont pay any attention to Canada, as long as you guys dont start getting together a nuclear missle arsenal we wont have to come up there and kick your butts. Beaver balls being your national food or not, I still dont believe this crap about you guys being able to outdrink us. But hey, I love the fishing in Canada. But congrats anyway on finally having enough paved roads to be considered a country and no longer just a territory. LoL.

FIRST OF ALL, we don't drink any of your american near beer 4.5 beverages. Our beer is real beer. You'd be suprised at how easily you'll be outdrank (is that a word??).

I think what gphi2k means to say is that Canadian beer has historically had a slightly higher alcohol content of 1.5%-2% higher than American beer. So, Budweiser in Canada is slightly more "potent" than Budweiser in USA.
Canadian Beer is roughly 5.5-6%
I believe American beer is roughly 3-5%

Secondly, I think the reason why the show strikes a chord with Canadians is because 85% of our media (radio, newspaper, TV) streams over from the USA, therefore Canadians know much about USA, but inversely, in general Americans do not seem to take an interest in acquiring an extensive knowledge about Canada.

It is just Canadians having some good humoured fun....it is not intended to be malicious.

By the way, some mighty lovely ladies come from Canada, so you might consider visiting sometime:

But that doesnt mean some of us dont drink imports too. I'm a fan of Guiness myself which I know is not from the US. *L*

I'm not sure about the war of 1812, but I do know that wouldnt be the case now. Never hear of the toque, chesterfield or the ottoman. *L* Are those ships or animals of some kind?

A toque is a head-warmer and an ottoman (in the U.S. anyway) is a piece of furniture. The only time I've heard the term "chesterfield" was in reference to either 1) a piece of fine furniture or 2) an old brand of cigarettes that used to be very popular. Toque is a ski-hat, chesterfield = couch or sofa, ottoman I think is what you put your feet up on, when you sit in a La-Z-Boy!
