The little girl's mother Maria, in keeping with her boxing-mad family's bizarre tradition, decided to give her 25 middle names - all culled from the greatest exponents inside the ring.

Her full name, which left register office staff in Perton, Wolverhampton reeling is: Autumn Sullivan Corbett Fitzsimmons Jeffries Hart Burns Johnson Willard Dempsey Tunney Schmeling Sharkey Carnera Baer Braddock Louis Charles Walcott Marciano Patterson Johansson Liston Clay Frazier Foreman Brown.

I read this and thought "wait a minute - this story is 25 years old!" I remember reading about it in the Guiness Book of World Records.

Then I realized she did the same thing to her daughter. Must have been a very painful labor. :p

Instead of "Hoping your daughter has a good sense of humor about it" - how about you just not do it, and everyone's happy. :rolleyes:

Seriously, have a "daft sense of humor" is one thing, but this is beyond nutty.

My mom always said my first and middle names to intensify the aura of trouble I must have been in. If her mom goes through all them names, by the time she's finished she'll be dead from asphyxia.

I'm imagining the way this works...and I'm thinking instead of the typical "You have till the count of three to get done what I'm asking you to do before I beat your butt" it would be "You have until I say your full name to get it done...".

But you'd know how in trouble you were based on how many names she got through before she said "YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE"

I read thiw earlier today, and this is the dumbest thing ever...next toth couple that wants to name their child 4real... I deleted the link to the article that someone sent me, but they don't live in the USA, and I think they have until July 9th infront of some court to change name a child starting with a number first as the name. The article said that if they courts and the parents don't come to terms then Real will go on the birt cert. What is wrong with people?

Next you all are gonna be busting on me for thinking Q*Bert is a good name for a son.
