So this poor woman can get a proper burial and not end up in a potter's field.

It said she was dug up elsewhere and dropped there. So maybe it was grave robbing, and she initially had a proper burial.

In any case, who are we to be able to solve this case?

I am under the impression that she may have had a proper burial but succumbed to grave robbers as well. Ms. Mathis (presumably) still deserves her full name so she can finally rest in peace in a dignified manner.

This cold case is posted on GC because it is pertinent to greek life in that the remains of a woman is found with an Alpha Zeta Beta sorority key. It is my hope that someone here would be familiar with that organization to help investigators solve this case.

One would think that any investigators worth their salt have already looked into an Alpha Zeta Betas.

FWIW, googling discloses that there was once a local sorority at Indiana University called Alpha Zeta Beta. I know nothing else about it, except that apparently a few of its members helped bring Delta Gamma to Indiana.

Investigators probably looked into Alpha Zeta Beta, but they remain stumped. According to an article last Monday in the Philadepha Inquirer, no one could recognize the sorority key.

Perhaps these investigators aren't worth their salt after all ;)

That or the Philly cops are overwhelmed with the skyrocketing murder rate.

Why is anyone giving ish about this? I don't recall anyone balking about 9 months ago when someone posted a similar link that even included photos of the victim!
