Delta Pin for sale on eBay

It always makes me sad to see this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Delta-Sigma-Thet...QQcmdZViewItem

I don't think either the current high bidder is a soror and the other person who has continued to bid on the item (wesirent) is just someone who sells a lot of Greek paraphernalia.

I REALLY hope that a soror wins this item!

This, unfortunately, has been happening for a while. I would hope Sorors have made provisions for their paraphernalia in the even of their death. I remember reading in a chapter mailing that we are not to bid on such items, rather report the seller to National & they will handle it.

Kelli posted this years ago, but it still holds true.

This should be protocol for any Delta items found on Ebay.

It's sad that this one even has someone's name on it, and yet the person still feels entitled to sell the badge.:mad::mad:

Oh, and I'm so glad they did their research and decided it was a pledge pin.

Exactly! And do not bid on it--it only drives the price higher.

I know, right! You wonder what the story is behind how it fell into outside hands. And yeah, sorry, I still hope that whomever ultimately acquires it is a soror.

The person to report items being sold on eBay (including this item) is Nicole R. Lenon, Intellectual Property Rights Specialist. Her e-mail is nlenon@deltasigmatheta.org.

Anyone, not just sorors can e-mail her (the more eyes, the better). Just include the item number.

^^^Thanks for the info! One of the constant bidders (wesirent) on your pin is also selling an AKA pin.

This is not the first nor will it be the last time things of ours show up on ebay. Things fall into outside hands, because we either lose them, don't make arrangements for them to be properly disposed of upon our passing, denounced or got angry with Delta and sold them, we have family members who do not know the significance and sell them, etc.

As Kelli said, just contact Nicole when you see something.

Mine was stolen. :(

But yes, instead of hoping and wishing, contact Nicole when you encounter Delta properties on EBay or other similar sites.

That particular seller seems to get a ton of "sensitive" NPHC items and sells them for a mint.

To wrap this thread up, in the future, if you (member of DST or not) see a Delta item on Ebay, contact Nicole as listed above.

That's it. Please no more Delta item XYZ on Ebay threads. Thank you kindly!
