Ex's

Is it wrong to hook up with an Ex if you know they have feelings for you...and u just want to hook up? Or is it ever really a smart thing to hook up with an Ex?

Explain what you mean by "hook up."

MeezDiscreet 06-18-2007 01:54 PM

<---- does not promote casual sex

if you like being tangled in uneccessary drama, then go ahead... but i think a drama free life is always best.

I agree with Niax. But I suppose if it were all about you, and you have NO feelings left, which is unlikely or you wouldn't even have contact with him . . . then go for it.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it as long as the terms and conditions are discussed. Things of that sort do not always bring drama.

I'm going to assume by "hook up" you mean something sexual. In which case, I really don't think it's ever smart to have sex with someone when unequal expectations/feelings are involved, whether they are your ex or not.

But then, I'm not really a hook up kind of person (sorry, I just prefer these things to be kept in the context of a committed relationship), so perhaps I'm not qualified to answer.

I'm against it, but you're grown and will do what you want. Just be careful.

Ditto. If he still has feelings for you, he will take this to be more than what it is regardless of the terms and conditions set. OTH, he may wake up and think, dang if she is that casual about sex I shouldn't be with her anyway.

an ex is an ex for a reason.... i'm with the rest... DRAMA FREE!! a good friend of mine just had a mini-me by her "ex". DRAMA FILLED...

AKA_Monet 06-19-2007 12:20 AM

Question: How can one move forward to the next and better relationship if one does not let go of the Ex?

MokaBeautie21 06-19-2007 12:31 AM

1. No i don't mean casual sex. I'm waiting for marriage. when i say hook up i mean anything else, just the casual dates and things.

2. thanks for the great advice because its true an ex is an ex for a reason and i don't want any guy to have the wrong idea.

3. It's not nice to lead him on but he still like to hang out whenever im in town...and he's really cute ;)

IncontRHOllable 06-19-2007 01:47 AM

Glad you wasn't talking about sex with him. i agree with the majority that have said it invites drama.
