hey girls,
i am the maid of honor at my lil sis' wedding next month. i am desperately trying to find a candlelight song for the reception. i'm from SFA, and we used to use "long, long chain of chapters" and "like a sister." at this point, i would be up for anything. i just need the music!!! help!!

We always sang "Today and Forever." We had a few sisters that we in Choral and they would always sing a harmony part that went with, too. I still get teary eyed when I hear that one.

for candlelights we sang,"God gave to the wise men their wisdom". there is a zeta sweetheart song, although my chapter never sang it.

We also use "Today and Forever" for weddings. I love it!!!

Wait, we're supposed to do candlelights at weddings??? Someone PM me and tell me about this! Is it a chapter thing? My chapter had one tradition that I loved (again, PM me about this) but I've never seen a candlelight at a Zeta wedding... I like the idea though and my second little is getting married next year. :D

Our chapter does not do candle lights at weddings. But we have other wedding traditions. We do candle lights in the Alumnae chapter when someone gets engaged.

Melissa-we just had one for Susan, she got engaged over the summer in Germany!

Yeah, Susan told me about it - she's had two now (one for lavalier at GMU). I think it'd be nice to do a candlelight at a wedding but I'm not sure how you'd do it or why...

Ok, someone tell me about doing a candlelight at a wedding. How does this work? Does the bride sit in the middle or is in the circle? PM me and gimme the details - mine's coming up and so far I only have a couple traditions in place that are pretty hidden to most guests and I'd like to do something to show my guests how much Zeta means to me and in doing so, personalize the reception a bit more. Thanks!
