Dionysus' Retro Recruitment Story

Hey, I would like to tell my recruitment story*. :) Mine is somewhat unique, mostly because I went through the COB process instead of formal recruitment. I didn't go through formal recruitment because me and a group of girls were trying to start our own sorority on campus. Well that fell through (a whole different thread subject). However, me and a friend from the group still wanted the sorority experience, so we went to a few COB parties a few weeks to a month after FR ended. I would mention the year, but that may give away my age, but let's just say it was in this century. :) As for the school, it is an university in the Midwest.

Here were the sororities!
Flomax-The party was hot like Blazin' Wings from Buffalo Wild...because of the girls and the small apartment's AC was broke. There was little room so the sorority girls were sitting in each other's laps. I was like wow, this sorority is like the one's I see represented on TV...I want to join this one! My friend told me to keep an open mind, I took her advice.

Aricept-Very cool group of girls, but something about them stood out....OMG they were sooooooo WHITE! All the girls together resembled a field full of puffy white dandelion clocks waiting to be blown. This didn't really bother us...what bothered us was the comment, "We desperately need more diversity in this sorority, we would be happy to take a black and a Jew!" That comment rubbed us the wrong way.

Flintstones Multivitamin-We met some of the girls on the EC board at a workshop. We really liked them, and they really liked us, so they invited us to hang out with the rest of the girls at TGIF's the night we returned back in town. I like the pledges and actives as much as the EC board I met at the retreat. They seemed like nice, genuine, and laid back girls.

Zelnorm-Ahhhh the sporty sorority! They rocked in intramurals and they loved telling us stories about winning all of the greek weeks. They especially bragged about how well they performed in the "Keg Toss" contest. I was like ,wow, I didn't know girls could toss kegs?!?

We attended the second and third parties at some chapters, others we did not. Stay tuned!

*For entertainment purposes only...well some of the stuff was true, but you will have to figure out what was and wasn't true.

I support Flomax! A healthy prostate is important and I think all sororities should support this goal!

I have to go with Zelnorm just because I'm impressed by any girl who can drain a keg, much less toss one.

and keg tosses are what the froshies do when the RA comes around to bust up the party... :)
