can anyone offer me some guidance?
whats up guys, my names brad i live in riverside and will be attending UCR in fall majoring in economics. I wanted to get a head start in knowing about the frats at uc riverside or just frat life in general. do any frats offer freshman housing? just curious because i plan on joining one. any help would be appreciated. thanks.
p.s. Im looking for a frat thats not too "goody", i like to party a lot, but im also a responsible person and have a keen ability for balancing academics and social time. |
I don't know specifics about Riverside fraternities. And more specific, the ones that might meet your needs. As such, your best bet is to contact a current student or alumni, or the Greek Life Office. For what it is worth, it seems that their website www.gogreekatucr.com/ is no longer active. As such, contact the Greek Life Office (or what ever it might be called) might be the way to go regarding information.
These are the fraternities listed for UC Riverside according to the Student Life Organizations page. Alpha Epsilon Pi Alpha Phi Alpha Alpha Tau Omega Beta Chi Theta Beta Upsilon Delta Delta Tau Delta Epsilon Iota Sigma Colony Kappa Alpha Psi Lambda Chi Alpha Lambda Theta Phi Lambda Sigma Upsilon Nu Alpha Kappa Phi Gamma Delta Phi Kappa Psi Pi Delta Psi Pi Kappa Alpha Sigma Phi Epsilon Zeta Phi Rho Best of luck. |
.....

I suggest meeting all chapters - you can start to do this beginning in July at Orientation. Keep an open mind, meet EVERYONE, and understand that although you are interested in "partying" (and all chapters do so to different extents), all chapters will require other things of you, especially academics and service activities. Good luck |
fraternity life.
Now, I am not a guy-but I am a girl in a sorority who sees a lot of partying. I know a lot of frat guys, in different fraternities, and to be honest, it is what you make of it. They could have lots of parties-but you do not HAVE to go to all of them-but the option is always there. You pretty much just have to check all of them out to get a feel for what is best for yourself. Every greek organization is different at every different campus! It's fun, and I wish you tons of luck with choosing/finding the right one for you! ;)
