What would you bring with you
I found out today that I will be heading out of the country for about 15 months...and it made me think...what is the one thing that I can not live with out that I can realistically bring with me....
So if it was you what would you realistically bring... I'm thinking good shampoo conditioner and smell good lotion |
What do you mean "realistically bring with you"?
|
I would love to bring my friends or family or my flat screen TV but that won't fit in the bags the army gives me...I get to wear a uniform for 14 months so no fun clothes or shoes...but I do get my laptop and IPOD....so what comfort item would you bring
|
Sir,
My suggestion would be IPOD, Laptop or portiable DVD player, Camera, DVDs, game system, bring extra tshirts and and socks. I have not been there yet. But my unit has a Warno for next year. I have been told those are things that you would want to bring with you. I have been told that you can buy tvs and that when you get over there from out going units. GOOD LUCK to you and be safe. My nephew in Cairo says he misses Febreeze.

I would probably bring a lot of personal items like deoderant, good toothpaste, books to read, and pictures from home. :-) I would also probably make recordings of the voices of the people I love most.

My bad Ma'am, I think that is just reaction from being combat arms, we dont see that many females and for the matter female officers.

My bf is a Marine and he doesn't know what he would've done without his iPod & DVD player while he was overseas.

A friend from college who did two tours of duty really missed Bath and Body Works stuff and good hand lotion. She also always needed feminine products since it was hard to get the ones she liked.

Is deoderant allowed? I'm in a group that sends items to Iraq & Afghanistan, and deoderant is on the "don't send" list.
I'd take lots of phone cards that are good for overseas. |
ooooh...good toothpaste and toothbrushes. I just feel better with freshly brushed teeth (but that's just me).

I'll think about it, there is probably a lot more you will appreciate. |
