Confusing Question...Help Appreciated
If someone was rushing a fraternity and while the pledge process was going on he dropped out of pledging, never to be initiated, can he pledge another fraternity the semester after? I have a friend who is thinking of trying to do this and we are trying to get some answers....thanks

There is no absolute answer to this question. It depends on the policy of the fraternity that he tries to join.

KSUViolet is right, different fraternites have different polices. Be aware though that some fraternites in IFC do extend bids that are good for a full calander year, and I believe this prevents one from rushing the next semester.

In spite of what was posted buy the other posters, Yes you can as long as you were not Initiated which it seems you were not! If you are tallking abut NIC Fraternaties, I can speak for them. If it is a D-9, then I cannot. You would have to talk with a member there. Fell free to PM me! Good Luck! |
As KSUViolet has already said, regardless what others have said, IT DEPENDS on that fraternity's policy.
Also...even if a fraternity allows it doesn't mean your friend will get an invitation to pledge. One might NEVER know why they weren't extended a bid. |
well my school has a policy of a "cooling off" period. You cannot pledge a 2nd fraternity for a full year after depledging the first. pretty lame if you ask me...

at ASU, as long as you're not initiated, you can pledge another chapter.
oh kyle, me and some of my brothers randomly met a SN alum at a bar in Pleasanton. i dont remember his name or anything but i thought that was pretty neat. |
