The Oak

Today I recieved my complimentary hardback edition of The Oak. Has anybody read it before? At first glance it looks to be pretty cool

Pike_Cardinal 09-12-2007 12:38 PM

Seriously? no one has ever looked at it

It's my bathroom reading. Some pretty cool stuff and some boring stuff.

I still have taken no initiative to read any of it. I have on occasion read captions under some pictures.

where do I get my copy?

I've been an active pike for a year and a half now. I was told that I would just automatically get my copy, is there something I'm missing?

Call Memphis @ 901-748-1868 and ask to confirm that you are initiated. If so, tell them that you never got your copy.

I haven't seen one of the recent editions. The older edition by Freeman H. Hart was much larger and very good. The Fraternity's history is interesting. Founded by Confederate veterans, Pi Kappa Alpha almost died 20 years later but was saved by Smythe and the other Junior Founders in 1889. Smythe served as the [CEO] until 1933.
