Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Dearest GC sorors and friends:

I sit on the Puget Sound Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Race for the Cure planning committee.

Through many long committee meeting, I would all like for you anyone willing and able to support our endeavor.

Breast cancer has touched many of us. The Komen foundation has rebranded to see a world without breast cancer.

The race in Puget Sound is June 16, 2007.

Nice pics, Soror.

Ummmmm, maybe I need to come up to the PAC NW. You all have on jackets, wind suits AND long sleeves in JUNE. It's hotter than a hot comb these days around here. You all are lucky. :D

When are you coming?

We will start to heat up sometime in July it seems like this year... There is rain today... And it looks like it will be like this for another 2-3 weeks...

I collect yogurt tops in my classroom. I must have sent in thousands! Plus, I faithfully wear my BCA pin all ThRU the month of October. I actually received my first BCA pin at one of you programs. Well, one night I got really sick (stomach virus) and had to be rushed to the emergency room. My attending nurse said, "Excuse me, I hate to bother you, but where did you get that pin. I lost my Mom to Breast Cancer and I've been looking for one." I told her that I had gotten it at one of your programs. I gave my pin cause I knew that I could get another one. Ever since then, I always make sure I attend your Breast Cancer awareness programs (the chapter where I live has one every year.) I always get two pins just in case I have to give one away. It never fails, I end up giving one away!
