i visit sjsu alot if that helps? plus i was born in san jose.

I know a woman who joined GPhiB at SJSU, and was pinned by one of your brothers, way back in the day. She was also a cheerleader and will bust out a Spartan cheer and routine once in awhile.

Unfortunately we don't have a chapter at SJSU anymore :(

Yes unfortunately SJSU Greek Life is a bit lacking.....

we're hoping that will change as SJSU tries to transition into a residential campus with better student housing. already our recruitment numbers (for IFC) have been up five years in a row. we might be out of the slump finally...we (Sigma Nu) pulled 13 pledges in the Spring (considered damn good for this school during a spring) and only 2 dropped.

i hear the DU's are doing really well over there. they just got a new house and last i checked they did really well in intramurals.

yeah their new house is insane. they beat the crap out of every fraternity in intramurals. they beat us in basketball championships. one of their top guys serves with me on our IFC exec. their alumni support is one of the best on our campus

that sounds effing awesome. im actually gonna be in sjsu this weekend to check out the new house and settle somethings with an ex-gf. who, oddly enough, is in a sorority at sjsu. asu is out for summer so im back in the bay.

your ex-wouldn't happen to be Melissa Groza from AOII would it? I happen to know she has an ex-bf that's a DU from ASU!

Yeah the new DU house blows every other house away....(which has pissed a lot of us off because previous to the renovations Sigma Nu had the best house). Actually the current Sigma Nu house was the DU house in the 1960s. Your brothers are going pretty strong here. From what I know the local fraternity that affliliated with Delta Upsilon in the late 1940s/early 1950s was billed as a "Social Athletic Fraternity" and DU on our campus has been full of jocks every since who pretty much wallop everyone else in IFC sports.

SJSU DU has this really rich alum named Barry Swenson who is a local bay area construction contractor and owns the DU House, Pike house, and Kappa Delta house. He used to want to buy the Sigma Nu house and our house corporation used to hang that threat over our heads when we got sloppy with house duties and rent payments.
