Someone is selling a composite - a whole, framed composite - on eBay...
 

Eastern Illinois University - Beta Iota chapter. 1996-1997

I would assume this must be a stolen item? (I remember back in the day at Michigan State - fraternities and sororities used to "steal" each others composites, decorate them, and return them to the house. The university tried to put at stop to that practice while I was there in the 90s b/c a few ended up never getting returned.) I have to think that the chapter wouldn't have sold the composite, especially since the chapter is still active!

Wonder if there is a police report on file somewhere? Anyone here work with Beta Iota?

I don't know, the size given is 12" x 15" so I think it's probably a personal one someone bought. I can't see anybody buying something like that on ebay though! I think the ones that the chapters buy are like 2 feet x 3 feet, aren't they?

Okay - that makes more sense. I didn't see the dimensions quoted the first time...when you look at the picture of the item, it looks like it could be a zoomed in snapshot of a full sized composite. Maybe its the frame that threw me off? :confused: Or maybe that the Buy It Now price is $25...seems like a pretty steep price to pay for an individual sized one. :eek:

Heck, I ended up with 2 or 3 copies of all my individual sized composites - the chapter got a ton of them with every composite purchase, and we always had extras floating around. If people are going to start paying $25 each for them, I'll part with my spare copies... ;)
