Song Ideas for Preference Day
 

Hey everyone! I am in the process of planning fall formal recruitment for my chapter. I am currently editing our preference day script and I am interested in changing some the songs that we sing. Our songs are a little outdated and I would love to incorporate some newer songs. To give you an example of what I am looking for...the songs we currently sing that I like are Feel My Love by Garth Brooks and Have a Little Faith in Me by Mandy Moore. I am looking for songs that the pnms might have heard before but have not necessarily been able to relate the song to anything in their life...like sisterhood. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you all have or if you just want to tell me what songs you sing at your chapter that would be great as well!!! I can't believe I'm saying this cause I'm NOT a Shania Twain fan, but "You're Still the One" is a good sisterly song if you change a verse or two. Actually that might be better for a senior ceremony or initiation.

I am the preference day head and I am also looking for some songs to change up our ceremony because it is also a little outdated. Last year we did Drops of Jupiter and I would REALLY like to do something different so if anyone has ANY ideas please let me know!!!

OK, not to be mean, but Have a Little Faith in Me is not an original Mandy Moore song...she just covered it. :)

For years we used "Feels Like Home" by Chantal Kreviazuk. Its PERFECT!!! Unfortunately, the other chapters at MTSU felt the same way and started using it during their Recruitment parties. Last year, three out of the six sororities used that song, and we had to change ours!

Look up the lyrics, its a tear jerker!!
