What I know for sure...
 

In the back of very O Magazine Oprah has a column that she writes herself that is titled, "What I know for sure" and I think it is really good so I thought we could do that here...


I'll go first :)

I know that I am passionate.
I know that I am growing up to be just like my mother.
I know my worth.

What do you know for sure? (it can be about anything though...)

(Sorry if this thread has been started before, I promise I did a search before I started it!:))

I know that I'm a good student regardless of what my scholarship coordinator thinks.
I know that I will keep working towards my goal of medical school.
I know that although this professor is being difficult, god willing, I will prevail and recieve the A that have been working so hard for and deserve.

Can't you tell I'm having school problems? :cool:

I love this--

I know for sure that if I'm worrying, I'm not praying. And if I'm praying, then I'm not worrying.

I know for sure that if there is confusion in the heart, God is not there.

I know for sure that God has sent a very special man into my life, and I love him to pieces.

I know for sure that my sons are the greatest children God has allowed to draw breath.

I know for sure that trouble don't last always.

I know for sure that I AM BLESSED, GOD IS REAL, AND HE HAS THE MOST WONDERFUL PLANS FOR ME.

I know for sure that GOD is good--ALL THE TIME!!!

I like this too!

I know that God is real.
I know better than to believe everything that is said.
I know that a change is going to come.
I know that I am worth the wait.
I know that family is so important.
I know that I will get into a great graduate school! (Let's pray on that!)

I know that God is merciful!!!!
I know that I am kind of bratty (after years of denying it, I've finally accepted it).
I know that I am competitive.
I know that I love children.

I know that everything is going to fall into place for everyone involved...
I know that sometimes we have to take a risk to gain...
I know that everything always works out...

That all things work together for those that love the Lord.
That I love my hubby and kids.
That material things do not define happiness but damn it they help :p
That crown and coke is the most soothing beverage on planet earth.
That teaching is rewarding
That no matter what Moms always makes it better

I know life is too short to be unhappy in any area.
I know life is a gift and precious.
I know that God is real for I can feel Him in my soul.
I know the best is yet to come because my season is finally coming through.
I know that we will be blessed.

i know for sure that until you have a child love you, you dont know what true love is.

i know for sure that a hot bubble bath or shower is the best place to cry.

i know for sure that i will probably never know what i want to be when i grow up! and i'll NEVER grow up all the way!

i know for sure that freshly washed sheets on a Sunday afternoon make for the absolute best nap ever...

i know for sure that no matter what, someone will always want me.

What I Know for Sure...
 

I know that I am an awesome mommy and that I am blessed to have two children.

I know that I am blessed to have both my parents living with me and despite their medical conditions they have truly been a blessing to my household and that my children are benfiting from having this time with their Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop.

I know that despite what it looks like, God is in control and that the best is yet to come.

What Know For Sure
 

1. When I put self out of the way, God works at His best

2. Parents really do know what's best

3. Credit can make or break you

4. Love is blind as all get out

5. My family is my best network of friends

6. Sometimes crying makes all the difference

7. Music/singing makes my soul smile

8. Church is my energy drink

9. Communication is the foundation to all relationships

10. I love men :D

A. The closer you grow to God, the more trials and tribulations the devil will set in your path

B. If you allow someone to steal your joy, they go on about their business -while you sit around trying to pick up the pieces

C. No one can determine your worth!

D. There will always be a naysayer, so do you and keep it moving!

i know for sure that i am truly blessed
i know for sure that no matter what works out romantically, i still have a great friend at the end of the day
i know for sure that i need to strike a balance in my life
i know for sure that my dreams will never come true if they remain dreams instead of acting upon them
i know for sure that even though at the moment i feel like i'm not paying God enough attention, He is still there and always will be
i know for sure that i've found my spiritual home, now i just need to declare :)
i know for sure that i hate my damn eczema :mad:
i know for sure that no matter how much my eczema makes me feel down about my appearance at times, i am still a beautiful woman
i know for sure that even though i'm not super brilliant, i am still extremely smart and talented, and i should stop comparing myself to those who are what i am not

I know for sure that acknowledging God in everything is all it takes for another blessing.

I know for sure that making conversations with senior citizens adds volumes of wisdom to your life.

I know for sure that death is apart of life.

I know for sure that God is going to take my church to a whole new level--even if I'm not around to witness the harvest.

I know for sure that I'm a beautiful, virtuous woman of God who needs to trust him more.
I know for sure that I've been created for a purpose; although not fully revealed, God is pushing me further into that direction.
I know for sure that I love God and I love his people.
I know for sure that although I have feelings of being alone, I'm never alone.
I know for sure that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
I know for sure that I love my job and my bosses!
I know for sure that change (as someone else said) will come.
