Searching for a recipe
Hi to All
I was wondering if somebody can help me finding the recipe for a famous Greek dish called Kleftico. My mother who is a cook but not a computer user asked me to help to find the recipe. Kleftico [ Oven Baked Lamb ]
Ingredients 6 portions of lamb with bone 4 Tblsp of vegetable oil Salt and pepper 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp of thyme 1/3 cup of lemon juice 6 small potatoes 3 bay leaves cut in halves 2 tomatoes cut in thick slices Directions Wash the meat, and dry with paper towels, place in a big bowl. Mix all ingedients except potatoes and tomatoes. Cover and let the meat to marinate for 30 minutes. Cut 6 pieces of heavy duty aluminum foil. Place a piece of meat on each foil, the potatoe which you cut in half, and place a slice of tomatoe on top of each one. Make sure to put a piece of bay leave in each one. Close each foil making sure is well sealed. Put the wrapped meat in a baking dish. Bake for 3 hours in a 325 degrees oven. Serving Suggestions A nice Greek salad.
