Hey ladies! Just wondering what your chapter does for preference. We've been doing the same kind of things and i've been looking into changing it up a bit.

We always have a cake of some kind - which last year I found caused too much discussion in the taste... too much talk about food not enough about AGD. We usually have a small group of girls sing "the rose" and have a couple seniors do speeches. We always do a ceremony with roses.

Just wondering what kinds of things other chapters do and what PNMs seem to like!

All the girls come in and are escorted to the table of the girl who will pref them, then there are speeches, we usually do a chocolate mousse for dessert (which I hate because we have to eat three of them that night... so don't do that lol). Then we take them to a spot anywhere in the house to pref them, two sisters on two pnms. And afterwards we do what you mentioned about singing The Rose, and having a few sisters give speeches. I'm hoping to make the last part less scripted, maybe by having sisters talk about their personal experiences instead of doing readings. Does anybody have better ideas for personalizing the ceremony?

Also, is anyone still preffing in red dresses? We're switching over to black dresses this year.
