Books That Should Be Adapted To Movies
Gentlemen,
Can you think of some books that you can't believe Hollywood or the Indy companies keep overlooking as great ideas for movies? I think of a bunch: Maniac Magee By Jerry Spinelli The Giver By Lowis Lowry The Green Futures of Tycho by William Sleator The Magic Grandfather By Jay Williams Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator By Roald Dahl The Autobiography of An Ex-Colored Man By James Weldon Johnson Wolfrider by AVI |
Survivor By Chuck Pahluniuk
The Giver hasn't been made into a film? |
I Think It's Almost Ready...I Think...
Pike,
Hey, I think you are on to something there. I checked IMDB and Jeff Bridges is suppose to be bringing an adaptation of The Giver to the screen...this year, I think. Let's cross our fingers. It's a fabulous book. Have you read it? Keep Smiling, Reggie:) |

So true. I think a lot of E. Lynn Harris or Zane's books (if toned down some) would make good movies. The drama in those books are priceless. |

I think Kimberla Lawson Roby's books would be good movies. |

Light Bulb Moment...
My very own Soror CT4 could make her book, Freshman Focus into a movie. ;)

I have been saying for years that I Am Legend by Richard Matheson needed an updated version. Now, in December of this year, they are releasing a new version starring Will Smith no less.
I am really waiting for them to make one of Laurell K. Hamilton's novels into a movie. |
Fantastic
I'm glad I Am Legend is being adapted.
I think Arnold Schwarzenegger was suppose to start in a version somewhere in the 1990's. |
^^^That would have been interesting. I like Will Smith though; he kind of turns the premise of the book on its ear a bit.
