NASCAR 2008 Schedule????
 

Any one out there know much about NASCAR?

If so, when does the 2008 schedule usually come out? Are races usually held around the same weekend each year in the same city?

Reason I ask is I am trying to finalize the date of my wedding and I do not want to it overlap with the date of my wedding. Tons of traffic coming into the area, hotels booked, etc.

Honestly I wouldn't mind though if it cut our guest list down :( its out of control right now.

I'm guessing you're in the Richmond area? Its usually around this time every year, but it may vary by a few days. I'd call RIR and ask.

Agree with shinerbock. If it happens to be Bristol you are concerned with, they always have them the same weekends in March and August. In 2008 it SHOULD be March 22-23 and August 23-24. Around here though, hotels are still full the weekend before and the weekend after. So if it is important to you, I'd avoid the whole general 2 weeks surrounding it.

Agreed - the tracks will have their schedules now even if they aren't posted on anything NASCAR yet.

You are DEFINITELY smart to find out before finalizing your date. I wouldn't want to deal with the traffic, etc. of a big race for my wedding either :)
