REbuilding a sorority
I need some new fresh ideas on recruiting high quality girls. Any and all suggestions are welcomed!:) Thx:)

I recommend you look for girls that are awesome, and then give them bids.
If you don't put any effort into asking a question, nobody will put any effort into answering it. |
Define quality.

Where are you located, how many sororities on campus, are you NPC, non-affiliated national, local or regional? What is average chapter size on campus? What is your chapter size?
|
are you looking for formal of informal recruitment ideas? what have you done in the past? what type of recruitment does your campus hold?

Well, if HYPOTHETICALLY that was the case, then I would say that they need to reevaluate exactly how they are recruiting. Is it frills or no frills? If frills are allowed, then I would suggest meeting with girls who have just gone through and asking them exactly what they thought about each GLO's setup. Obviously, what the older members are coming up with is not effective. Therefore, CHANGE IT UP. Have your Editor and Publishing chair put up signs. Make sure girls wear letters, and [this is very important] portray themselves as people that others would like to be associated with.
I guess the overall question you need to ask yourself is, "What are we doing different from the chapters at total?" and then once you figure that out, "How can we change this?" Go onward and outward. |
Be honest with yourself. Look into what your reputation on campus is and try to change it. If your reputation is just that you are small with the less popular girls, make yourself look bigger at rush by having a lot of alums around. They wouldn't be able to rush but having a full room gives the appearance of success. Also, don't try to change everything in one rush cycle. Sisterhood is more than just having the pretty girls so play up your strengths as a group...I'm sure y'all have lots of them!
