Colonies are getting good results

So there has been a lot of talk about the AO's recolonization methods on here, and etc.

Well, two colonies who had a shitty ass four years, and both had stong recruitment and brotherhood issues took top honors at their school this year.

The CMU colony took the President's Cup award given to the top fraternity and sorority on campus, and you can see their video for that award here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vh7R8z-3pE

Denison, My colony, took home the "Commitment to Fraternal Values" awards, which is our top honors given to the best fraternity OR sorority. So thats pretty cool.

So, I am not going to say the AO runs the colonies that well, but atleast in these two instances, both of us only starting 2 years ago, shows that the AO is recruiting some quality guys!!!

That's great that they are getting noticed...

However is that by the school administration or by other frats and the students?

Honestly...who really cares if the administration likes the paperwork you turn in? Half the time that stuff is BS anyway and it's simply being the only ones that do all the paperwork that win.

Now if the awards were granted by Beta's peer fraternities on campus that would be something to brag about.

Often the frat that won 'Best on campus' at my school...was in no way the best on campus. They just did the most paperwork.

Actually, they are done by peers. Each fraternity submits people to be on the awards committee. The packet we turn in goes to all the awards, EXCEPT the highest one, the one we got. That is judged based on all the other fraternities knowledge of the chapter, not the b.s. they put in the packet

Atleast that is Denison, i dont know how CMU does it
