Pref Song
 

Hey ladies, after watching American Idol last night, I was inspired to ask you all this question... this is a two parter...

1. During your chapter(s) preference party was there a song that your chapter used?

For my chapter, someone always sang "I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman and the chapter that I'm working with uses "Love Can Build A Bridge" by the Judds.

2. If you could pick a pref. song with a meaning what would that song be?

I always thought the song "Where You Lead" by Carol King and Toni Stern would be a good one... but then the Gilmore Girls picked it up for it's theme song and now it would be too cheesy.

When I was in school we used an Alpha Gam song, don't remember the title but the first line was "Just yesterday I walked into a strange world where the faces were new." I think the title may be "special family". Is an incredible song. Works well acapella as a solo.

Mine would be "For Good" from the musical Wicked.

The sentiment is perfect for Recruitment and Pref with very few word changes...because I knew you I have been changed for good.

I want someone to write a skit based on this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...so we can use this song at Pref.

There's a song that would be perfect for an Alpha Gam pref but I don't want to give the name or hint here.

I never learned Special Family, but I know the song because Epsilon uses that song.

Hey Lynn, PM me... I'd love to know the song title.

TU uses a song that is played in a lot of weddings and I like the song but it is odd to hear it at pref with your sisters and then go to a wedding and it is being sung for the bride and groom.

I think my chapter uses I'll Be Here (I know the song but not the title, lol).
We also sing The Rose..the original words not the Alpha Gam version. There may be 1 more but I can't think of it, lol. Ask me after Recruitment;)

My old chapter now uses Special Family. When I went through recruitment, we used AGD and it gave me goosebumps and still remains one of my favorites.
