Posting Photos Problems
 

Have any of you had problems posting a photo on Greek Chat? I am new and received permission to post a photo on my own GLO site here. On another message board I am able to do this.

Banditone has sent me pages of instructions which I have followed. He has been very helpful to a new poster. However, no matter what I do all I can put on the page is a red X. Obviously, there is something I am doing incorrectly or omitting. Have any of you had this problem? Do any of you have helpful hints or suggestions? I have Windows XP.

Any help you can give me is appreciated....

Your URL is incorrect. Make sure you typed/pasted the URL correctly.

The http:// is showing up twice.

Also, make sure that the site that hosts your photos allows hotlinking. I haven't used Webshots in a long time (they suck,btw), so I wouldn't know if that would be the reason why the pics aren't loading.

These were originally webshots and moved to photobucket. I will try a photo that was not from webshots. Now I know what was wrong......one more try...

Tried again. This time the photo was not a webshots photo. I used it before to post on another site. This was straight from Photobucket. Oops. It still comes up with the red X.

It's because you have the wrong URL.

is what shows up. See the two http://'s?

is what should show up once you correct the URL.

I will doublecheck that the http is not repeated. The photo has nothing to do with Greek Life, but it is a great picture. I will keep trying.

Tom didn't post in this thread :confused:

Do you have permission of the photographer or whoever owns the rights to that photo to post it?
