It doesn't just happen to other people
 

I know that this is a topic we all hear too much about, but since it happened close to home, I'm writing.

Ladies, be very careful when you go out. We all think that people getting something slipped into their drink happens elsewhere. It happened to my roommate Friday. She was in a "safe" place (a local casino in Detroit) and with older women from work. She ended up in the emergency room with a temp of 92 and barely coherent. They say it's a good thing I was at home and able to see her deteriorate and not just think she was drunk. If I hadn't been there, she could have died.

She had 2 beers, bottled beers. Nothing is safe these days. Please, this is one of the scariest things that I have ever gone through and don't want anyone else to have to experience it either. BE CAREFUL!!!

Did they discover what was in her drink?

Everyone has to be safe these days considering all of the crazy things that have been goin on. No matter where you are at, be very cautious of all that is going on around you especially when it comes to drinking. Bad things happen to good people so just be careful and watch out for yourself as well as friends. I am VERY VERY SORRY that had to happen to your roommate.

They never pinpointed the drug exactly, but there were traces of GHB and Ecstacy (I think) that they knew. She actually was really traumatized by the whole thing and won't even get a water from the hangout that our friends own and bartend at. It's scary.
