Greek Week
 

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about Greek Week. Its an event that has been held on our campus onagain - offagain and was hoping to get some ideas about activites that go over really well on your campus. Or if anyone has suggestions about where I could get more information I would greatly appreciate it

On our campus Greek Week usually has four events.
- a philanthropy event...penny wars etc... last year each house selected a person to run for greek god or goddess and the representative from the house that won penny wars become the God/Goddess.

- Greek Week talent show...all houses participate and two winners are chosen...one Fraternity and one Sorority. Faculty are asked to judge.

-Friday night we usually have a big greek party/dance off campus.

- Saturday is Greek games. They include...pyramid building, tug-of-war, mud volley ball, and numerous other silly events.

_ Sunday is our awards banquet where the houses receive plaques for the week and the scholarship and service awards are given out for the past year.

For the week we have a few things.

1. Carnival- each org makes a carnival game
2. Talent show- the final event of the week with skits performed by each org.
3. Sorority signs- take songs make new words and serenade
4. obstical coarse
5. watermelon eating contest
6. swimming race- 4 people and they have to put on t shirts and pants and socks and lifevests
7. penny jars- all moey is donated to a local charity
