Congrats to your Zeta Omega chapter for winning Greek Week and also capturing the title of Greek Goddess (for the second year in a row!) She is my daughter's big sister, and my daughter is thrilled!!

I AM thrilled! Let's have a Zeta Omega (West Georgia) recap so I can gloat for my chapter, shall we? I dont think you gals will mind!
When I pledged in 1997, I only hoped and wished for awards like this. Yea to the chapter! This will be so wonderful for them in Recruitment!! |
Well, I was just coming over here to post that one of the members of Zeta Omega chapter won Greek Woman of the Year, but you beat me to it! By the way, she is also Kappa Sigma Sweetheart!!
These girls have much to be proud of!! |
Yep! I saw her and the chapter yesterday at our Georgia Founder's Day event.

Just thought I'd let yall know that my daughter's whole AXD chapter is coming to our house next weekend for their fall rush retreat. House will be cleaned, yard mowed and cut, swimming pool and tennis court ready...and we're leaving!! Seriously, though, we're glad our daughter wanted to host it. I've asked permission to drop by after I get back from picking my youngest daughter up from camp. Maybe they'll give me a little preview of what they're going to do for rush!

I keep offering our house to my son's TKE chapter ... but the guys don't seem to want to come out 20 minutes from campus ... |
The chapter retreat at our home went great. From what I could tell for the little bit of time I was there, the girls had a great time, and my daughter said that they got a lot done. I got to hear one of their rush songs-loudly! So, I imagine it was an entrance song. Sure brought back memories to someone who pledged in 1971!
My daughter said after they went out to eat in the evening, they came back to the house, borrowed a Slip-N-Slide from our four year old neighbor, and everyone took several turns going down the neighbor's hill on it. My neighbor called her husband (a fireman) who, unfortunately for him, had the night shift. She told him there were a bunch of coeds on his front lawn in bathing suits, and she was SO sorry he was missing it!! :D Anyway, after that they went swimming, then had more meetings. When we got home on Sunday after church, our home was spotless, both inside and out. There wasn't a piece of furniture out of place, no dirty dishes in the dishwasher, no trash in the trash cans, no wet towels by the pool. You would NEVER have known all those girls had been there. AND, we received a thank you note by Wednesday!!! Classy girls! |
