white dress questions

Hi! I'm an ASA new member looking forward to initiation. I need to find a white dress for initiation and I'm not having any luck so I came on her for help. I need a dress that's not strapless, a halter, or on spaghetti straps, and so far everything I find fits in one of those three categories. If any of you has seen any cute white dresses, can you please let me know? Thanks!

Hi cuteASAbug!

First off, congrats on your impending initiation!!

Secondly, I'm so so SO glad you were told the dress conditions you were. :)

Here are some I found on the Chadwick's site:

The second one is basically what I have although mine came from Target a couple years ago. If I'd had a brain I would have bought a bunch and sold them to sisters. It's best to go w/ short sleeved or sleeveless - one of my sisters had a gorgeous white suit, but with a lot of people in what's sometimes a small space it can get warm.

Hope this helps!!

Here's one at JCPenny

Here's a cute one on Bluefly

And,
In case you have an extra $1400.00 lying around, here's a cute Michael Kors

I like your username, and I'm glad to see another ASA. I hope you stay around and post for awhile.;)

That Michael Kors dress is awesome.

Not that I have an extra $1400, or an initiation to go to anytime soon, but do you think the silver trim would matter? Honestly, I'd rather see something classy like that w/trim, that's not 100% white than a bathrobe because they couldn't find anything else.

It looked more clear than silver to me - I would have to see it IRL.

I've seen girls in basically prom gowns - as long as the trim isn't colored or excessive it's good to go. :)

Thank you for your help. The Michael Kors dress is gorgeous, but sadly, I don't have that kind of money. We were told that your outfits couldn't have any colored trim, so I don't know if that would work. I ended up ordering this dress from Target and am hoping that it fits.

The description says: "optic white silver diamond bead dress".

If you do a close-up, it does look silver...but my vote is still that it's better than a bathrobe.:)

Leave it to my (future) sisters to think of everything. ;)

I have white strappy sandals that I just need to find. And not to mention getting the requisite white pantyhose.

Hi!! Welcome to the board. I, too, hope that you will stick around. I love the dress that you picked. I think I'll probably buy a white dress or two this season for future initiations. So far, I've only attended my own:)
