What do MEN want for Christmas?
Hope you can help me out...what should I get my boyfriend for Christmas? (I'm 30, he's 39 - just to give you some insight that we're a little older)
I only have one idea http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif - Sports Tickets (hockey, basketball) Please help if you have some suggestions! |
I'm thinking about getting my guy a set of Lego Mindstorms. They're a bit pricey, but *really* cool. Basically, you use the lego bricks to build robots. I would say they're good for just about any guy who's into science/engineering/math/building, etc.

I would say anything from Best Buy is a good bet: DVD's, Play Station or computer games, computer equipment, CD burner, etc. Your idea of sports tickets is also a good one.

IF he's a normal guy he should like jus tabout anything you give him.
Most of us aren't that in to getting gifts and a lot of the time we use what get to judge whether what we got you was "enough" or acceptable. Tickets to his favorite game with his friend(s), unless you REALLY like the sport, is always a winner. Catering to our hobbies are good also but beware the perfectionist . . . when it comes to something we are really in to, the thought alone doesn't always count. |
Always nice to hear an honest opinion! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I won't guilt him into taking me. I yap during sports games anyway, which is probably blasphemy for a lot of men to hear! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif Catering to our hobbies are good also but beware the perfectionist . . . when it comes to something we are really in to, the thought alone doesn't always count. Thanks for the heads up...good to know! |

Mr. 33 has requested a cordless screwdriver and something from the Store of Knowledge. If you have one of these in your nearest mall (they are usually sponsored by the public TV station there) or a Discovery channel store, they are a GREAT place for "guy gifts." They have lots of cool videos and other neat toys for big boys.

I agree with James. Its the thought that counts and the actual act of giving. I'm sure just the fact that hes celebrating Christmas with you is a gift in itself. I like Alumnus who cares ideas. Maybe something from Home Depot, pick out something he likes to wear, gift certificate to a spa or hotel for two http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif I'm definitely not for jumping out of airplanes though LOL
