Elizabeth Paige Laurie (granddaughter of WalMart founder) paid her roommate $20,000 to attend her classes and do her work at USC. She was asked to return her diploma.

Someone I know got kicked out of UT for taking someone else's calculus final. So I suppose it's comforting for us who thought we need to take all our classes ourselves that people don't always get away with it.

It seems if anyone remembers that that one of the Sam Walton (Wal-Mart) family kids had the Un. Mo. Feild House named after Her until they found out she had someone in Ca. take her tests.

The name of the field house was removed and they found out she was a B!

It's not quite the same thing, but my G Phi B sister and I were taking the world's most boring physics class. Seriously, you could hear the heads hitting the desks as the professor droned on and on. So we got the brilliant idea to each go one day a week - I went on Tues, she went on Thurs.- and share our notes. Not really a good idea - we both got Cs. But we did each take our own tests!

I've never heard of it. In undergrad, because I went to such a big school, a lot of profs would require that you show your student ID when you turn in your exam, until they could know everyone's face.

Ours did, too. I have heard of cases in which a student had someone else do the homework, write the papers, etc. for a class and only took the tests. Surely the tests would've been flunked, but if you've got good enough grades on everything else sometimes it's enough to pass, I guess.

What is a B?

I hope you choke on some food soon.

I've only heard of this on Sister, Sister. And Tia got busted halfway through the episode.
