Omega Psi Phi Expansion in the Aloha State.

(Omega Psi Phi will make history when it charters its first undergraduate chapter outside of the continent of North America. In May, it will charter a chapter at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, along with hosting the 13th District Conference in Honolulu.)

OMEGA PSI PHI FRATERNITY, INC.
13th DISTRICT 2007 ANNUAL MEETING

We are excited to charter the first Undergraduate Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. within the 13th District at the University of Hawaii. This historical event takes place May 5 through May 13, 2007.

The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity was organized on November 17, 1911, in the office of Ernest E. Just, a Professor of Biology at Howard University and their faculty adviser. The organizers were three students in the College of Liberal Arts: Edgar A. Love, Oscar J. Cooper, and Frank Coleman. Since those meager beginnings, the Fraternity has grown to over 600 Chapters and approximately 115,000 members world-wide with members such as the former Surgeon General, David Satcher; Actor/Comedian Bill Cosby; Basketball Superstars, Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal; former Mayor of Atlanta, GA, Bill Campbell; and former Governor of Virginia, Douglas Wilder, to name a few.

Our cardinal principles are MANHOOD, SCHOLARSHIP, PERSEVERANCE, and UPLIFT. Most importantly is uplift, to aid and assist the communities in which the Chapters reside. The Thirteenth District encompasses chapters residing outside of the continental United States such as: West Germany, France, Switzerland, South Korea, Bahamas, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Kuwait, Japan, Liberia and many more regions.

This 13th District Meeting will be held May 10 – 13, 2007, in Honolulu, Hawaii’s beautiful and booming vicinity of Waikiki Beach.

We, the Brothers of the 13th District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., look forward to your partnership as we continue to set higher standards for the brotherhood manifested in enriching the communities in which we reside.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Griffin
13th District Representative
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Iotas, Deltas and I believe Kappas are there. I have to double check but I'm quite certain re the Iotas. ETA: These are grad chapters.

the Omegas had a group of grad/military members that would have events there during the 90's when I was stationed there...I don't know if they had an official chapter but they were active around Oahu where I was..they were a really good group of men...KUDOS to the bruhs!!!!
