Blades of Glory

Saw this over the weekend. Hilarious if you're a Will Ferrel/SNL fan. Most of the funny gags were in the previews, but I really liked it. Look forward to the DVD version with outtakes.

Has anyone else seen it yet?

Haven't seen it yet... but I definitely want to see it this weekend...

I went nuts laughing when they showed the clip of Will Ferrell singing "My Humps" on the treadmill on the news the other day.

I'm seeing it this weekend

I heard Jon Heder ruined the movie.

It was a freaking funny movie, and I am not really a Will Farrel or John Heder fan.

They reigned the jokes in before they could go over the edge from funny to just stupid.

awesome...i would say i'm a "fan" of ferrel's, maybe, but I agree he goes over into the just plain stupid zone sometimes, and at this point I would like to see some more serious work from him (as opposed to the same type of comedy over and over)

I haven't seen enough of Heder to have an oppinion

i saw it last week (won passes on the radio!)

thought it was funny enough, but the DVD with outtakes will probably be hilarious.

i was bothered by how poorly coach (what his real name) has aged. he looks bad, like he needs some botox NOW.

Stranger than Fiction!

Much lighter comedy than Will Ferrell normally does and he basically plays the straight man. Good movie! :)

Saw the movie on Saturday. HILARIOUS! A must see.

My husband and I saw it. It was funny, but oddly enough, my husband (who's a big Will Ferrell fan) said he would rather have waited for the DVD.

It good. I had very funny moments, but by no means is it the best comedy of its type.

DeltAlum 04-07-2007 11:45 AM

I suspect most of you know this, but Farrell is a Delt from USC.

CutiePie2000 04-07-2007 01:06 PM

Yes, when I visited a GC'er in L.A., I saw his photo under the Delts page in the "Greek Yearbook" that she had from her time at USC.

It’s funny that you mention that. There used to be a guy in TKE that I would argue with all the time that that Will Ferrell was a Delt but the guy swore up and down that he was a TKE. I chock it up to learning something during pledgeship and accepting it as fact.
