Tattoo

I have been doing a little research on tattoos simply because I've thought about getting one more and more here lately. Have thought of and seen several different ideas, just wondering what the other brothers out there thought about tattoos.

I have found one in particular that I like, specifically because I am of Irish descent and it uses the Celtic Cross along with some other things that are both significant to me and the entire organization, as a matter of fact Jono may know the person that actually has this tattoo. (Kudos to the creator whomever he may be)

Would actually be on my back and not my shoulder if I got it

Anyway what are you guys thoughts on fraternity related tattoos?

Trey, I hope you choose a tatoo that not only represents your dedication to LXA, but also your individuality as a person.

My only advice to you was the advice Brian Setzer got from his dad on getting a tattoo.

"Never get a tattoo where a judge can see it."

To True! :D

Your Zeta number is 660? That's too bad. The guy who was 660 for our chapter was a total goofball.

Trey, make sure to go to a good artist.

He may be a little far away, but here in Mass. we have a really great one.

Check out his work: http://www.bigdogzink.com/chris2.html

Let me know what you think.

Hey Bro Cube,

Actually I am number 47 of Pi Iota Zeta.......I just found this Tattoo somewhere and really liked it.

Oh and to everyone else that reads this post........have you ever had experience with anyone getting Delta Pi or C&C BRANDS on their body.

JonoBN41 03-23-2007 10:35 PM

I haven't met him, but I understand B-N 660 is the current High Epsilon at Florida Tech.

B-N 585 has a very nice C&C-style tatoo on his arm, but unfortunately I don't have a picture.

Let's see if this works (not a great shot).

I have a simple cross and crescent on my left ankle, with LXA SO 162 underneath...simple and understated.

I like the celtic design as well....

Tom Earp 03-24-2007 02:31 PM

Jono, if you remember Kerry Anglin, he has a full C of A on his left shoulder and it is @ 10 inches tall.

God, with all of those colors, it took awhile. I could not look at a needle that darn long:eek:

I would say about 80% of our actives and alumni have tattoo's. We have simple designs like mine which is a cross and crescent on my ankle, and then brothers with flaming deltas, lion holding white roses, and many many more. For a while everyone was getting the same tattoo which was the letters in Purple, Greek and Gold about Calf high on their leg and underneath they would have Delta Phi and their I Number. Then others would put in what they wanted between the zeta and their number; cross and crescents, lamps, etc. It was pretty cool to see groups of guys all with the same tattoo showing not only dedication to the fraternity that has changed out lives, but the brothers who have as well.

But what if . . .

But what if we expell a tattoo sporting Brother? How do we return THAT to Indianapolis?

That's my only reservation re a fraternity tat.

Simple

Brother John,

It is a simple problem with a simple solution.

Have the member in question put an "* Expelled" next to his Zeta number.

No longer a problem.

Good night and thank you very much.

Yours in ZAX,

I must say I like Brother Mike's response.....it really made me crack a smile.

I like to think of myself as an upstanding.....life-long brother.......but as well all know anything can happen!!!!!! Just look at our founder (how dare they expel him).

True Trey!:D

But alas, times have changed and tempers were cooled and He was placed back where He should have been in a place of honor and found.

Well as Brother Mike said, He was never lost, he was where he had been for years!:D

I can personally attest to the fact that (a) He has been where he is for years, and (b) He is not going anywhere soon.
