Cute Owls for XOs and Kappas
 

Target has the cutest gardening accessories for kids - featuring blue owls. Some of the items - the watering can, the little totes - would be great for lil/big or new member gifts. I found them right by the toys, in the outdoor section. THought immediately of my Kappa and Chi O panhellenic cousins! Now if someone would only have cute crescent moons . . . .

This is pretty random, but yesterday I was waiting in line to pay at Forever 21. I started looking at the accessories on the racks near me and there was this owl necklace http://www.forever21.com/images/small/37220380.jpg. I was just thinking to myself "I could totally see a Chi-O checking this out" (apologies to the KKGs out there...did not know that you also had the owl until this thread :( ). Anywhoo, just as I'm thinking that, the girl behind me in line looks at an owl necklace and says to her friend "I should totally get this. The owl is my sorority's mascot, you know."

((I think of Phi Mus and ADPis when I see lions, Phi Mus for ladybugs (although that may be a local mascot), owls (XO and now KKG), DZ turtles..and then there's the bears and...lol.)

I just stick to buying squirrels (got my hubby doing it too, he was at the bird store the other day and brought back a cute stuffed squirrel)..

I DID see those in Target (love me a Target!) & because they were BLUE owls...I thought of Kappa!
