:( It breaks my heart to report this cause I love KAPsi...

Five members of Kappa Alpha Psi at the FAMU chapter were charged with violation of new Hazing Laws.

They plead No-Contest and got probation w/ no jail time. Their records will be clean when (not if) they complete probation.

By the way three got probation, the other two got jail.

There was a related thread that addressed the two dudes who got prison time.... maybe a mod will merge it. At any rate, those dudes definitely got off easy.

Has anyone said whether all five were expelled from Kappa Alpha Psi? I coulda sworn I heard that somewhere.

I dont understand.... Why is it important to initiate members in that fashion. I always understood Greek life to be about, at least, bulding brotherhood. I know it can be brought into detail, but what is it that the beatings represent? Does it actually build a bond, or is it done because its just tradtion?
